How accurate are your algorithms?
Our face recognition service is more than 99% accurate based on publicly available benchmarks. We frequently test and evaluate each of our algorithms in real life to ensure you will receive exceptional service. Schedule a demo
How long does it take to identify an attendee?
Our system can identify people in milliseconds! The total transaction time for your attendees (including check-in and live badge printing) is typically 7 seconds or less. We will even train your staff on requirements and operations so everything goes smoothly.
Is my attendee information safe?
Privacy of the end user is our highest concern and primary core value. We comply with privacy regulations (including GDPR) and contractually oblige our partners and clients to the same standards. We have implemented strict security protocols and use compliant cloud service providers to safeguard your data. All system communications go through encrypted connections. Once we extract the face geometries the images are instantly discarded (never stored). As an added safety measure, our system automatically destroys all metadata (including the face geometries) after the end of your event.
What if an attendee isn’t comfortable with face recognition?
Our service is opt-in only and works in parallel with existing check-in solutions such as name searches or QR codes. We have different check-in workflows that mitigate this concern and we have never had any complaints from attendees.
Is Zenus an all-in-one solution?
Our face recognition service integrates with existing registration platforms through API calls. As a result, you do not have to switch your provider, maintaining a seamless attendee experience. If you have not selected a registration provider yet, we will be happy to introduce you to one of our partners.
Is face recognition cost-prohibitive for my event?
No. Even though this is the newest technology available, it is more affordable compared with RFID and Beacon. Our team will work with you to find the right workflow and options to fit your budget. You can use your own devices (most smartphones, tablets, or laptops suffice) or rent them from one of our partners. Get a quote
Can I update/cancel at any time?
Zenus typically allows for change or cancellation requests up to 24 hours before your event. However, most of the times our partners handle all payments, therefore, we cannot make guarantees regarding refunds.
How fast of an internet connection do I need?
The venue internet connection can affect the speed of the face recognition service. We recommend you have access to a private network with a minimum of 300Kbps upload/download speed and a maximum of 50ms ping per device connected to our service. To increase reliability and offer you peace of mind, we can also ship servers to the event venue. This way, the processing will happen locally with the cloud servers being available as a backup. We have found this to work extremely well in real life.
How many check-in stations should I use?
It depends on your requirements and the check-in workflow you would like to implement. One of the greatest benefits of using face recognition is that it reduces user actions and thus significantly increases the speed of check-in. If you follow our instructions, you will be able to get a throughput of approximately 500 attendees per hour. Each event is different so please feel free to reach out and tell us more about your needs.
How do I setup the check-in stations?
This can vary depending on the devices and registration provider you are going to use. However, here are some general guidelines which could help you have a successful event!
- Stable, high-speed internet connection (especially if you are not leveraging our on-premise servers option)
- Good lighting conditions (no background lighting)
- Camera placement to capture the attendees’ faces from a good angle
- Pre-event system testing (ideally a few days before the event starts)
Is on-site support included?
Our solution is intuitive and easy to use. Pre-event training and on-site support are typically handled by our partners who are ready to help you. Nevertheless, we are always happy to take any questions you may have with respect to the face recognition service. If on-site support is requested or required by you, it is billed separately.
How do delegates provide their image in the first place?
During the regular online pre-registration, the attendees can optionally submit their picture and opt-in for face recognition. That is, after filling out their personal information, they can take a selfie or upload their professional headshot.
What size of event can Zenus handle?
Zenus can handle any event size. Our strength is large scale deployments, but we welcome any opportunity to showcase our technology and help you impress and excite your attendees!
